The best class ever would be a class where you learn how to blows thing up with your mind.

My computers class is java. I took the intro class a few years back with VB.net. Next we did scheme, a functional programming language, and then java up until now. We don't really do much advanced stuff with language features, but we do a lot of concept stuff and learn sorting algorithms and good designing patterns. Lately I've just been browsing the internet though, because it's my senior year and I really don't need the credit and I'm pretty sure I'll pass the AP test anyway.

So how exactly are your "students" going to test their work/homework? You going to modify all their xbox's...if they even have them? This could be a nice project but it seems a bit more intensive then you think. I could go on with questions but I wouldn't want to overwhelm you with doubts and potential problems.

This is an extremely unrealistic goal in my opinion. In no way will you be able to teach someone how to do all of these things in a year, especially at the high-school level :?. Even if your "course" was approved by the schools board, which I highly doubt it was...it will likely not even exist due to the few amount of people that would want to register for it.

Isn't modding Xbox's illegal?

Why would a school then allow this? :?

You don't have to mod the xbox necessarily, just the map files. Which if you resign them it could be argued that it is illegal.

I highly doubt your school would even consider such a thing due to reverse engineering copyrighted software is a legal offense.

is it a private study class? I mean it's kind of hard to believe that you made a class that anyone in the school can join.

It may have been approved, but as people have said before me, I find it highly unlikely there would be a class for one person, who happens to be leading it. In most cases a certain number of people must have expressed interest in a class before it can go on, even if the original course plan was approved.

A bunch of guys made a game programming after school club in my school. Though all they do is game instead of program.
