Hey!
I'm making a skin/mod and I can't seem to get the gloss off of the pistol!! here:

My Skin:

In-game pistol

PLEASE help!!! i've already tried editing the multiperous and it isn't working!

Make the pistol multipurpose darker to make the gloss less shiney.

You're not supposed to post bitmaps because it's illegal. And you won't get the "gloss," as you call it, off the pistol. You must go into the pistol's soso and null out the "pistol_multipurpose" bitmap (that's not the actual name of the bitmap).

Beware, though. Taking away the "gloss" will make the pistol look like crap.

Or, to minimize the "gloss" without completely nulling it out, do what CabooseJr said.

Third option: Edit the shaders.

I personally find this easier and better.

Alpha layers in the multi play into the whole glossy thing also.

this skin looks effortless and ugly. sorry, 3/10.

or just remove specular >_>. which i believe there is an old pluggin out there that edits shader files.
