I too, am among the baffled when it comes to emblems. Anyone have any idea what "droplet" is? I just signed in today for the first time in a long time, and I didn't have it at my last sign-in. Word? Yes.
It is quite the brilliant idea, though. Emblems ftw.

Interesting to see you around again..We're unsure of the droplet emblem still. It's up for debate at the moment.

For instance, the one that was only given to Staff members. Normal members couldn't attain it.
