Open your eyes or turn your gamma up some to make up for the darkness. The game play isnt ment to be harder on purpose, this is a example of that.=SSF=Donut wrote:i like it its awsome. it works pretty well if u join a game. its just on bloodgulch i cant see a thing when i snipe.
Heh, this was talked about before. Just simply load the next level via campaign menu and you will be fine.kevinnnnn wrote:I get an exception after the first room on AOCTR

If a level is too dark try that.Pepsi wrote:go into the [sky] tag and there should be two main numbers your looking for .. "100" and "120" by "... fog opaque..". raise thoes numbers by 20 and you should see the level brighten. so this would be ..
"100" to "120"
"120" to "140"
if it isnt bright enough keep going higher. but that should work thoe.

not on PC it is not.Jackle001 wrote:Is it possible to configure Halo to play on OpenGL? I'm pretty sure some command can do that, like the ability to run the game in different shader versions. Maybe that can be done for Shader 4.0?
I don't member the command, but it's similiar to the "-devmode" and "-console" stuff.
Correct. Halo will only run shader 2.0 max. It will not support 3.0+. The commands your talking about is "-use20, -use15 and -use10". These are the commands for forcing Halo to run on lower shader models when playing "-useff" in competitions for better frames sacrificing visual quality.
But no, HaloPC is DX9 based and not OpenGL. I searched for months for a way around this for support of adding a .ddl hook to the game for custom shader mods and the closest thing I found that reasonably worked was DXTweaker that was offered with the FTW mod.
Basically, the game is dated and the technology is far surpassed it. You would have to do alot of ground rebuild and im sure engine tweaks to pull of what your looking for and to my knowledge that is happening anytime in the future or in anyones plans. Actually, wouldn't it required modding the .exe itself and that is illegal I think nor will Halomods support that.
