iPod Touch

Yea I'm pretty convinced I don't need much space my music and Videos can fit in half of a 8 gig HDD so the space isnt a factor for me.
But yea I'll probably end up getting one and returning my zune I got for christmas.
But in the mean time I'm going to sleep.

I like them. I have an 8gb one myself. I did the jailbreak on it and installed voIP and I have the ability to text message. I also have a ps1 and gba emulator on it. Also you can use a pen from a PDA or something instead of touching it. Thats what I use.

VoIP? How? There's not like, a microphone or anything on it. How would VoIP work on the touch?

...I didn't know that. But of course, that only means you could use it when your touch is in its dock, so you can't do it when away from home. (Unless you happen to bring a laptop.)

No, an external mic plugs into the bottom of the iPod.

My Zune Stomps out iPod Touches. Yesterday in class, I was listening to it and walking through the aisle of seats. I trip over this girls backpack, and I drop my Zune onto this kid's brand new iPod touch, and it cracks the screen. My Zune is officially an iPod Killer.

Yeah, that's right, you accidentaly dropped your big ass zune onto the ipod, and naturally, like a fat kid sitting on a baby, the thing underneath doesn't survive.

So you CAN use mics with Touches? I never even thought that was possible. What accessories other than the touch and the earbuds would I need to make calls?

I have one, and I think it's worth every penny I paid.

The screen is a lot more resilient to scratches than I had imagined, it's great looking and 16GB is plenty of space for me.

I don't listen to mediocre songs, and I don't put whole albums on my iPod for the sake of it, unless I thoroughly enjoy every song on said album.

It really annoys me when people fill their iPods with shit, if you just narrow your collection down to songs you wouldn't skip if it came on, 16GB is just fine.

I'm yet to hack mine.

My brother got the iPod Touch, and I it's pretty sexy little device in my opinion. Still, I personally need the space of my 180 gig. I haven't filled it up, but I listen to a lot of music. And unlike the people that Geo spoke of above, I do actually listen to all the songs on it. Especially while I work. I almost never don't have music playing around me at all time.

I would get an iPhone instead of an iTouch just so I don't have to carry my cell and iPod everywhere I go. My favorite feature on the device is the internet. I currently have no means of getting on the internet away from my home. Ultimate boredom treatment.

Wrong terminology I used, sorry. I meant plug in the microphone through the Dock Connector, which would be either an adapter that would let you use 2.5mm things, or Bluetooth. I don't know, I'm just speculating. I've never looked into it seriously, I'm just thinking aloud what it could be.
