erase the maps and revert to back to a backup set of maps.
Happened to me when working on another mod. Luckily, the hog was supposed to be burned up and destroyed
Well, I'm guessing your alpha maps are screwed up.

what do you mean?
Instead of making a corrupted skin and you can see through the object, could you edit the multipurpose bitmap for the sole purpose of making it see-through.
I think there is a certain color that you can put on the multipurpose bitmap of an object to make it see through...anyone know what that color would be?
mmmm i dunno, i multipurpose is the origional halo one, i was realy making skins i was just messing around with old ppf files and patching them on to see what i would get, it would be interesting to know what colour makes parts see through you could do all sorts of stuff...
mmmmm ok... i thinks i should read pepsi's tutoiral and understand about all of that stuff, because i never knew about bumpmaps and all that s*** either...
I had this exact problem before! The problem has to do with your photoshop not your Halo PC. try saving your edited bitmaps as bmp files and then open those up and THEN save them as dds. for some reason sometimes photoshop can't save psd files as dds properly.
If that doesn't fix your problem then we have oddly similar issues that just weren't from the same cause.
EDIT: but make sure you're not doing what I just said with the corrupt bitmaps, if you save those as bmp and back to dds then you'll just have still corrupt bitmaps. so I hope you backed up your bitmaps some how because you'll need fresh ones to fix this problem.
Its not realy a problem... its because of all of the ppfs and stuff getting mixed up i think, i put that shader restoration and everything on and a heap of old skins i made ages ago.
