looks awesome guys... unfortunately, when i start the game up, and play campaign from the beginning, i get no sounds at all. volume's up and everything, and i'd normally get sounds, but i don't. also, the tweaker when i start it up, does this: http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/6764 ... tchny7.jpg.

here's my system specs: http://xfire.com/profile/tibiazak (at the bottom of the page if you don't know xfire's site). i am running vista, if that matters...

edit: fixed the tweaker - compatibility for windows 2000. who knew? :?

Nice mod Pepsi

I just have one issue. I do not get any sound when I installed your mod. There a way to fix that?

yea, i had that problem too. you go to the old maps folder, and copy the sounds.map file into the new maps folder (the one that you downloaded)

edit: and i got it to work. my only problem is i only got it to work in a window, but i can't make it go any higher than 640 x 480 because it needs to restart and if it restarts it exceptions... any help?

I am guessing you are running Vista. Because if you are you have to right click on the tweaker .exe. Then click properties. Click on the Compatibility tab then check the box next to disable visual themes. This should make it so you can see. Trust me it works.

yea, did that already. i read the thread from the forum where the tweaker originated for that fix. i just wanna get a decent screen resolution now... 640 x 480 sucks.

edit: i figured it out... it exceptions if the window size is above 640 x 480. well, that ticks me off.

You did a great job Pepness. I have a quick question though. Do you know how I could make bloodgulch have a little more light? Is there a number I can change under the light tags? I have halo map tools with the 60 something plugin's. I really appreciate all that you have done for this community.

go into the [sky] tag and there should be two main numbers your looking for .. "100" and "120" by "... fog opaque..". raise thoes numbers by 20 and you should see the level brighten. so this would be ..

"100" to "120"
"120" to "140"

if it isnt bright enough keep going higher. but that should work thoe.

I like that FFT app for certain maps, but others feel like they have to much contrast like your Geryphobia (how ever you spell it) seems WAY to dark to be able to play in with this

use the advice i gave the guy above you to tweek the maps brightness to match your needs. everyone has personal preferences on what is "bright" and "dark". also monitors play a huge role in this as well. FTW is very customizable if you take the time to do so.

When I tried opening c40.map in HMT, it said it was compressed. After I decompressed it (I even tried not decompressing it), HMT said it was an invalid map file. :?

Pepsi is there anyway I can add snow to bloodgulch? I remember the last redux mod had rain. I tried using HHT and HMT but I had no luck swapping the dependencies :(

You guys should PM Pepsi about non-FTW related issues.

im slightly working on a way to null that down some but if you want a quick fix then simply raise your gamma settings in the halo video settings menu.

When c40 was being built i accidently corrupted it trying to do some tweeks. Instead of re-pmi'ing everything all over i went ahead and used a patch i had using "sized ppf". the sad thing is that when usign sized ppf and you patch a stock map that map can no longer be opened in hmt like your experiencing. this was the reason we didnt use sized ppf when releasing this and used just direct maps downloads cause of thoes issues. c40 was never rebuilt cause the patch took us to where we needed to be as far as modding it so we left it. we didnt think anyone would need to mod anything on it so it stayed.

when you open sidewinder in sparkedit and save in sparkedit the rcon feature of that map gets corrupted. this was proven many of times for us. we could have left it stock but we knew this mod would also be past around the racing community and since sidewinder is a high profile map we thought it would be fun to keep the glitch and have a little fun with thoes racers trying to admin a cluttered server. gephy might be cured with the thing i mentoned above dealing with nulling out the "meduim emitter" in the scenery tag like i described. danger canyon i have no clue. it wasnt found in tons of beta testing nor has anyone posted this issue in these 12 pages so far so im puzzled to that unless you modded the mod and broke something =/

Add Snow To Your Multiplayer Map

Its not something you can just swap in, it has to be done through a PMI process. Also remember when you do follow this tut and have the snow in the map like you want, you wont be able to play lobby games with that map being modded with snow or you will exception when trying to join a lobby game with that snow modded map installed. if it was possible to do then our sidewinder and icefields would have the snow as well.

hope this helped and sorry for the late responces.

ahh ok. But do you know how there was rain in your Redux version of bloodgulch? I really liked that effect! My friend gave me a bloodgulch map that had snow from the b40 map file. I was able to play in multiplayer with the snow coming down and no errors. Thats wierd :(
