I have a new computer per say

Its a "MacBook Dell Inspiron 6400" Osx86 is trully amazing it runs so fast, I did xbench scores and its faster than a macbook :shock:

Yes, I'm interested in that topic (especially after reading so much apple-vs-windows propaganda to drive me insane)...shut it :P. I got more interested when brother got his mac. Kinda thinking of trying it myself...Take over my (rarely used) ubuntu partition.

But...The bit about the circumvention and the DMCA may be wrong, also the illegal part...If that's the case. Well orsm! I should research more and then get cracking on getting it installed.

Sound works, Ethernet works, processor works, everything except my wifi card, but I just bought a mini pci-e dell card that does work for 33$, and walla I can has macbook

Also, you could legally buy leopard and get one of these prepatched dvd's and then destroy your leopard one, or not install it and have it be legal.

If the software is designed to not work on a certain platform, forcing it to is circumventing its protection methods. This is very close to what is covered in the DMCA, but not directly. The DMCA covers copying of materials, not the alterations to make them work on another platform. It is legal to do what he is talking about, but it's an easy thing to get mixed up.

I'm still confused as to why you think you have a macbook. You have a Dell. Dell does not equal Mac. I think you're forgetting about the quality of the machine...
