Now I have a problem with the DXTweaker. I'm sure I did everything right, but halo crashes at the loading screen. It could be because I have an older card (fx 5500) or because I have windows vista.

does anyone notice how when u zoom in w/ scope, ur camera goes behind u for a spilt second

I get that error too - but you can fix that with DisableAlphaRenderTargets.

the jackals miss so much, out of about 32423423424 shots, 3 hit me?

did you notice in that how aware of your presence they were thoe? you have to make AI balanced and in this if their accuracy was set to high you would have been a dead man tryign to get away or simply finding cover. i swayed more toward bringing their awareness up and aggression then making the shooting ability more accurate. no one likes fighting a aimbot. imagine all thoes jackals by you and have almost perfect aiming. see where im going?

ill have andrew check with the vista thing but i think vexx runs vista also and he is using it. make sure you absoluty follow the instructions. there is one thing you need to uncheck or you will except.

but that would also kill alot of the effects in alpha layers making everything look like a fake glass kinda. just read the instructions again. im telling you it will work. also make sure you have directx 9.0c and net framework1.1 installed. this goes for you to spartan193.

MOD UPDATE
if you want to fix the issues with gephy 100% then do something real simple. open gephy in hht and go to the scenery tag. then look for the "medium waterfall spray". there are two things for it being a "mod2" tag and a "effect" tag. simply null them both out and gephy works perfectly fine. i knew i got the PMI right, its simply to much going on in the map with all the fog and such. also if you would like to make the map look good with the current theme also open gephy in hmt and make this simple change..

as for the zoom thing its part of the new FOV (feild of view) i offered with the game. you may have noticed this gives you the feeling of moving faster and such. if you want your old FOV back then open the map you want changed in hmt and go into the biped tag. with the 60 plug pack installed you will see a setting for "camera field of view". simply change this number from 1.9999 to 1.2803. <- i think thats stock if someone wants to confirm it). but i promise you if you change it back your not going to like it cause halo is going to feel so slow for you like it did for me when i first changed mine 6 months ago. but hey, i got used to it within 2 days and now i swear by it.

I got problem, I got expection data when it loading the map belong to story mode also opening the sidewinder map

I have windows vista, did something wrong with it??

so sidewinder wont start for you at all? and you cant play campaign? i think the campaign issue will be solved if you choose "new game" from the beginning instead of jumping to a desired map. try that. also make sure the whole mod is together in the same folder cause one thing missing and it could all go out of wack. it, in a essence, is a totally rebuild game with new file paths. the sidewinder map not loading just throws me for a loop thoe.

can anyone else confirm sidewinder not working? i know it does for me and nessa cause we pwnt noobs on it today.

sidewinder works perfect for me, the only bug I saw was on the flawless cowboy(very first part of the second level), the banshees were completely open as if they were just parked on the ground unoccupied (but they were flying) and the elites piloting them were standing straight up peaking out the top. I've seen that bug before when I've swapped elites with marines.

yea, the new fov is definitely better, i didnt notice the improvement, but i did notice when i felt slow
anyways, im stuck on some stuff

the gephy map in redux was my favorite and id like to use that instead of ftw, but how do i get that cool purple glass floor
what do i swap the lifepod in bg to get it back to normal

this is offtopic

i been tryin to pmi scenery but it doesnt work for me, do u do somethin diff from vehicles to get it? i follow all the instructs on the sticky and only replace the peli with tower

i'd really apprec if u could answer that last one, ill prob find the tags for the other 2

hmm, yes... as 1000000/10 it is, you should have added a few maps with brilliant light... that would have been awesome too. I have only seen your amazing night atmosphere maps and such.

The banshees appear open because the elites are driving the banshees outside the pilot area. Like they're riding them. You will see another covenant character doing this too on another vehicle :wink:

Oh, and I quit modding.

Is there any place that's hosting these maps but as individual files, considering I only want a couple of these maps but would like to avoid the 400 MB DL :shock:

You can't have just a couple of maps. It's completely revamped. If you only take a couple, your Halo won't work, you'll most likely get exceptions. Things have been re-routed and re-written.

blargx3 legendary is easy, but pepsi made it somewhat harder.. tho the one i made a while back was ridiculously hard. But pepsi did something i did not,
He made it balanced.
I suck at Hard! I only beat H3 on easy and Normal... But a harder Legendary?!!!

nah i herd if you knew how to dual wield u shud play on heroic on halo 3
halo 1 was the hardest one in my opinion and 2 was astonishingly easy. havent played 3 yet.
