The Halo 3 new maps thread.

Post by ScottyGEE »

This is for all discussion pertaining to the new maps starting from now.

If you guys want pictures of the map. Please request and I'll be happy to take them for you :D

Currently I love standoff...They've utilised their lighting engine FOR ONCE (something that I always winged about). The shadows and the sunset feel is really orsm.

That's all I got for now. Ill edit or add more posts later.

Tottally forgot about those Forgable mancannons. I might actually spend 5 minutes in forge now ;oP

(50% done, i'll have like 20 minutes to mess around before I have to go to school :D) ...Done.

Standoff is pretty sweet.

Apparently you cant rapidly change directions with the mancannons. :P Dang.
You blow up when you go too far outside Rat's Nest, mm.

it was announced by bungie awhile ago.

Overall, I think I like standoff the most. I'll have to wait and see how they play with real people, not bashing soccer balls around with a hammer and man cannons.

I thought Bungie already did (at least for Foundry), but whether or not they did, thanks. ;p

Nor do I.

Standoff: This has got to be the best thing since Lockout. Very symmetrical. Great for team objective.
Foundry: I like the initial layout (which seems a lot like a larger, non-symmetrical Elongation) as well as the...Forgeability, if you will. Not as good as Standoff, though.
Rat's Nest: The "race track" was a neat idea, but the map itself is only good for larger games. Anything from 6v6 on up is fine with me.

Now, to see if I EVER get anything in matchmaking...

EDIT: Well I feel stupid. I did not see the Heroic DLC playlist section that was added

I already downloaded them but I haven't got a chance to play them yet. :X Having fun playing Assassin's Creed, which I just beat but I might play Mass Effect now.

I had a BLAST playing Rats Nest.

It was better than I expected. Of course, half of what we did was fuck around with the vehicles on the outer ring and knock people off the cliff, but it was freaking awesome. I expect things to die down though, eventually, and actually do the objective :/
