moving on to a new game.....finally!

Post by DECOY »

It's been a blast, modding Halo for the last couple of years.
But let's face it, the HEK for Halo2vista is a bunch of crap, so I have decided
to move on to a new game "Crysis".
http://www.crysisdemo.com/
Even the demo comes with a good editor, and theres a full SDK coming
out very shortly. I have a new site / home under construction for Crysis
modding, feel free to drop by.

I have some unreleased tags and BSP's that I'll upload in case anyone else can make use of them.
See ya Later!!

It sure is a shame that your leaving, DECOY. I wish you would stay, I've always enjoyed your mods. I used to even have a dedi up for sandwinder. Your duplicating tutorial helped me back LOADS back when I was new to modding.

I wish you would stay, but that's not up to me.

We will all miss you, decoy

Well over the last few years I have been watching (not registered) this site, it has been a pleasure. I guess what made us attracted to Halo modding is because you weren't supposed to be able to do it. Anyway, good luck with your new game, I hope ya kick the hell out of it.
Though you don't know me, I'm going to miss you.

with regret,

It's a shame that your leaving man, but it come's for all of us, like a bullet to the head.

I hope you continue to publish many great Mod's, and get a good reputation in Crysis

Ah, its a shame. I've enjoyed your mods, but good luck moving on, and we all hope you do as well there and become a success there as you have here. You will always remain a sort of 'Legend' in our books.

hmm i wonder if modding is a universal thing. Like if you mod one game, modding another game comes quicker. hmm.

but yes...good luck.

Decoy, this is a sad day. You know i might compare this day to the day that Tyler anounced that he was leaving. of course that was back when we did not have harbinger and had to convert things the old fashion way, that took hours to do. I did not know you very well, but respected you as an excellent modder. in lack of a gun i came up with this:

/me fires of 21 lines of code salute

Mr. Brightside: Worst mod I've seen since 'Nam.

Dude, that's not even close to funny. Do you know how highly respected decoy is? Probably in the top 5 somewhere (along with conure and others). Also, I have a question. Can you make an indoor map without a +sky? I wanna know that XD. So umm, good luck with crysis...

I know it's a sad topic, but I have already paid my respects. So Crytic Farm, I do not believe you can make a map without a sky, even in other games. I could be wrong but, I really don't think you can.
Bye Decoy

In Source, you can make an indoor map without a sky. ...Portal doesn't use skies, except at the end when you kill GlaDoS.

In halo ce you need a sky for lightmaps to work.
