Okay, let's see:
Golf: May be boring, but at least you're active, and outside, doing something that requires physical exertion outside just using your hands.
Nascar: Just as much of a sport than anything. I'd say it's a hell of a lot more physically demanding than gaming.
Fishing: At least you're not sitting on a couch. Plus, much like hunting, it produces something that you could actually use with a practical purpose.
Extreme Ironing: I know it sounds ridiculous (and yes, it is a legitimate sport, for those who didn't know), but considering some of the stuff they actually do, I'd say it's more legitimate as a sport than gaming is.
Gaming: Okay, let's see. You sit on a couch, or chair (
Sometimes even standing. Oh you're extreme now!), and use a small device in your hands to control a character on a TV screen. The only way I could see gaming as a legitimate sport, is if they were playing something like the Wii (or DDR etc), cause then at least you're required to move something other than your hands.
