Mass Effect
Sweet. Finished the game (W/ all sidequests finished too) at level 50. I had all Spectre X weapons (the best) and wicked armor.
I now am starting a new career on Hardcore with the same ID so I can get the level 60 achievement. When that's done I am will start a totally new career on Insanity and be done...

Yes pyroman, you are right that you should be saving yourself anyway...But that shouldn't be required especially if its an auto save. I've been playing for a bit still, 10hours now and I would say there have been less autosaves than hours. It should be more frequent so others don't have to adjust.Pyroman wrote:The autosave isn't really a problem at all. If you think of it, shouldn't you always save yourself before a huge battle? It's not that big of a deal really...
Sometimes textures won't load for a couple seconds...but that's not harming anybody or affecting gameplay.
I have adjusted now so its not a problem, but it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place is what I'm saying.
The texture thing I don't care about but sometimes those oh so pretty scenes with the crazy effects and lots of enemies lags the game a bit =(
The game is still awesome. choosing certain things have impacts as said before in the rant thread that can make you feel guilty/wrong which is pretty big at least to me.
and INSANE, that's a feature I've wanted from every RPG i've played. those mmorpg's aren't like wwhat I want =( but that'd be so orsm, your squad against my squad, see who wins (me of course)

Then you might want to check out Huxley when it comes out...supposed to be a mix of an MMORPG and an FPS.ScottyGEE wrote: and INSANE, that's a feature I've wanted from every RPG i've played. those mmorpg's aren't like wwhat I want =( but that'd be so orsm, your squad against my squad, see who wins (me of course)

Yea, I was looking forward to huxley last year but now I've given up on it, they keep delaying it, the only major update I saw was the switch to the Unreal 3 engine. However Too Human now looks a lot better than last year and will definitely be on my buy list come Q3 2008.Then you might want to check out Huxley when it comes out...supposed to be a mix of an MMORPG and an FPS.

O_o What about the truck driver?Hawaiian Modder wrote:I want this game so much I just wish I could un-ground myself and that a truck full of Mass Effect and Guitar Hero III magically crashed into my neighbors house, that way everyone wins.

There are two (well 3) things i don't like in this game so far:
#1 (and 2) is the graphical problems, the texture popping mainly, but also the framerate issues that pop up every once in awhile...
#3 is the mako vehicle thing, it never ceases to tick me off, and all the combat with it is not very fun at all... I haven't gotten anywhere major with it, so maybe this will change with time (I just finished Feros, my first planet)

Yeah, well, it's a pain in the ass to fight them on foot, couple shots with the mass accelerator gun or whatever that is takes them out.
It's mainly the controls. It has the same problem that really really ticked me off about the Tank in Halo 3, it's based on the camera, not the vehicle... Which means, if the back is aimed towards the front of the screen, even if you hit forward the thing will go backwards, which is painfully slow, and then 5 missiles hit me and i'm dead. I'd say it's something you can get used to, but it's not. Actually driving the mako is, it's fairly simple to learn that all you have to do is aim the stick in the direction you want it to go, but that other part is just consistently bad.

Question: How do the people in the game reproduce?
I just realized that Female Salarians, Female Krogans, Female Turians, and Male Asari do not exist anywhere. A bit odd, I may say. Took me until after I beat the game to realize that..
EDIT: I'm pretty sure all the Asari are lesbians, #1 they're obsessed with each other, #2 theres these two Asari sitting in the Wards looking out at the view holding each other with one with her head on her partners shoulder.
mm, kay.

Read up on things and talk to various species. The blue things are a female/not really a dual gender based species which can reproduce with any other species including themselves via some mental bond thing. They choose to reproduce with other kinds over themselves for evolutional purposes...Hence pure bloods are looked down upon.
But yeah they might not be shown (probably due to cbf making them ;p) but I'm pretty sure you can find out how with all the others. And isn't krogans discussed as a major plot point with wrex? Or do you just do main story and screw the rest?
And you've beaten the game? Fuck! KIRK! you 360 whore
I'm still not very far coz I haven't been playing it as much as I want to but still...First halo 3 and now this
You make me look bad

Yeah I just read up on the Asari and how they are an all-female race and how they reproduce through a form of "parthenogenesis".
Doesn't explain any of the other races though.
And yeah, I beat the game, but I only spent 18 hours on it. I'm doing it again with a male character (I admit, the blow job this asari gave me kicked ass) and i'm going to spend more time doing side quests and figuring things out. I'm doing it with a sentinel, instead of a soldier. Seems like more of a challenge.
