The little bit of money from the ads is worth firing a journalist for? Ditch the ads, I'm sure they could get many other game ads (even though I'd hate them for it)
I got an idea for you Eidos! Instead of spending thousands of dollars bribing crappy review sites with massive ads and corrupting reviews...How about you use that money to make a good game! You know? fun?
Something to note here is that this might be the only public version of such a bad act. Who's not to say other companies have been doing the same for high reviews, corrupting their scores and leading poor users on.

They avoided firing him for two weeks because they knew that if they fired him when the review went live, other writers would refuse to contribute reviews. They used him for two weeks before locking him out of his office and telling him to leave.
Isn't that nice?

That situation is entirely different. First of all, you're not a professional. Second of all, you haven't played the game. And third, there was no flaming whatsoever. Making that comparison is absolutely ridiculous and serves only the purpose of amplifying a problem you think occurs because you don't agree with it, by dragging it to other threads. This situation is about money and advertising, your situation is not similar in any way, at all.
