Once it's in the map, can you select it in Edit Mode on Forge.

Unfortunately no, if you could, you could make it spawn inside the map.

Me and my mate had a halo 3 tournament at his house today here are some pics he took

Can someone explain to me how you get the color black again?

Go to slayer settings> Leader traits> Appearance> Then go down to "forced color" and set it to black.
