I know but the maps are in the container files, so if you modify the map it needs to be sign, if you modify the container its by injecting a modded map the container will have to be signed or w/e too.LuxuriousMeat wrote:The maps are not container files are so not signed like them.grimdoomer wrote:no you could just wait till the map pack comes out, then pray to god that some releases how to sign the container files. then its just the matter of signing the maps. well he's not selling ti and there will be multiple apps that do the same thing. you don't have to use it. odds are it was made by a child too most of the people here are between the ages of 11-22. hell maybe he likes pretty colors too. my point is, who are you to judge what looks good and what doesnt? what's appealing to some might not be to others. so go ahead and give your opinion, but don't insinuate that he is wrong in any way for making his application look the way he wants.

I think you're arguing about different things, I'm pretty sure what grim is trying to say is, if you want to avoid having to burn a new DVD every time you want to test a mod, then you can wait til modding hard drive content is available.grimdoomer wrote:I know but the maps are in the container files, so if you modify the map it needs to be sign, if you modify the container its by injecting a modded map the container will have to be signed or w/e too.LuxuriousMeat wrote:The maps are not container files are so not signed like them.grimdoomer wrote:no you could just wait till the map pack comes out, then pray to god that some releases how to sign the container files. then its just the matter of signing the maps. If you read what he said, you can tell that he is indeed talking about what I am talking about.OwnZ joO wrote:I think you're arguing about different things, I'm pretty sure what grim is trying to say is, if you want to avoid having to burn a new DVD every time you want to test a mod, then you can wait til modding hard drive content is available.grimdoomer wrote:I know but the maps are in the container files, so if you modify the map it needs to be sign, if you modify the container its by injecting a modded map the container will have to be signed or w/e too.LuxuriousMeat wrote:The maps are not container files are so not signed like them.grimdoomer wrote:no you could just wait till the map pack comes out, then pray to god that some releases how to sign the container files. then its just the matter of signing the maps. And modding content off the hard drive will be even harder than modding the disc maps. Because the maps would have to resigned and rehashed and then the actual file the maps are contained in will also have to resigned in a way only 2 people know how to.

well any atempts to hack forge, you would need to resign/fix encryption/redo has/w/e for the container file CON.

And meat I thought 3 people knew how to do it, I wont say any names but yeah I thought it was three, I mean im pretty damn sure I already saw a video of a modded map, I think I still have the video but it wasnt Angerwound or roofus that gave me that video, and the person that did would never steal credit for it since he is far more knowledgeable than 97% of modders here.

is that the video you were thinking of? If so then they are just glitches and not mods casue ive done the long distance pickup one.

I never said anything about it being easier, I said it wouldn't require a new DVD every time, because somebody mentioned that and I thought that's what he was talking about. I know that only a few people know how to do it at the moment, and i also knew there would be some protections on the container files, on top of the protections on the maps that need to be broken, but once/if that all gets taken care of, you won't have to spend money on DVDs all the time anymore to mod H3LuxuriousMeat wrote:If you read what he said, you can tell that he is indeed talking about what I am talking about.OwnZ joO wrote:I think you're arguing about different things, I'm pretty sure what grim is trying to say is, if you want to avoid having to burn a new DVD every time you want to test a mod, then you can wait til modding hard drive content is available.grimdoomer wrote:I know but the maps are in the container files, so if you modify the map it needs to be sign, if you modify the container its by injecting a modded map the container will have to be signed or w/e too.LuxuriousMeat wrote:The maps are not container files are so not signed like them.grimdoomer wrote:no you could just wait till the map pack comes out, then pray to god that some releases how to sign the container files. then its just the matter of signing the maps. I wasn't talking to you when I said it would be harder. I was talking to grimdoomer, hence a little section break in between my post.OwnZ joO wrote: I never said anything about it being easier, I said it wouldn't require a new DVD every time, because somebody mentioned that and I thought that's what he was talking about. Meh, I read half the page and it's all arguing.
Darvolt, it's nice that you're trying for something new, I usually do the same. But perhaps a different color scheme would be nice. Also, just a thought, but the tags, in your case, they should be listed vertical instead of horizontal to save space.
This post isn't intended to argue over, it's just suggestions.
