Lost Cell Phones

Post by DrXThirst »

Well, this came to my mind after thinking about what happened Monday night.

I was in my bathroom peeing and I had my phone (EnV) in the front of my pull-over. I was standing to the left of the toilet and when I went to reach to flush the toilet, the phone fell out into the water (While the toilet was flushing).

Now, don't let the thread title fool you. I payed $250 dollars for it. I used my Spartan-like reflexes ( ) and reached down in the water and grabbed it. I'm being dead serious about the reflexes. I'm not sure how I got it that fast. It was amazing. O.o The phone was in their like .5 seconds.

Anyways, it started vibrating, so I immediately turned it off and took the battery out and put both of them in a heated towel that had just come out of the dryer. I dried it off and turned it on about 5 minutes later. It was acting weird. The camera button turned my speaker on and off, and vice versa. I just took out the battery and wrapped them both in the heated towel and left them there overnight. Today, they both worked perfectly fine.

So, that brought up this question : How have you lost your phone?

Oh man, this one time I was at this party and there was this girl man...she was a total freak. So anyways, she took my phone and-

...PG-13 site, right.

I left my phone at a party once, but I just drove back and got it. I don't think I've ever really "lost" my phone.

lol
I was going to get searched once at school, so I was in computer class and I took my phone out and sat it on top of the computer tower which is under the desk so that it wouldn't get taken up. When I came back, I forgot about it and when the bell rang, I went to the bathroom to text to find that my phone wasn't in my pocket. So, I ran back to the computer class and it was still there, Thank God.

Eh...in a related story about school cell phone hijinks:

I got a new phone one day, and gave it to my friend. Any time he got caught texting, he'd give the teacher the phone with no SIM card in it. He'd just keep texting...they never caught on to it all throughout the year. Good stuff.

I've personally never lost a phone but my bud accidently dropped his off the boat while deep sea fishing.

When I buy a new cell I usually just destroy/burn the old one. :P

A friend of mine didn't realize she dropped it into a trash can with other stuff she was carrying, it ended up being compacted.

I lost it around the house, but that was easy to find. 3 hours of calling it and trying to hear it vibrate. haha.

Also, a funny story from my friend john.

We were camping at timothy lake. (oregon thing) and we are sleeping out side on those long folding chairs, and all of a sudden john's phone goes of he sits up half awake and screams "FUCK WAFFLES" and all you here is a sploosh. We wake up the next morning to find his 500$ Cingular phone in the shallows of the lake.

Good times

So many. Where to start.

2 on the bus, (Cheapo- free-with-a-plan-when-you-buy-a-Razr phones)

1 I got bored and took apart.

1 I found, used for like a week, until it was cancelled, then I spiked it into the ground and shattered it

and the worst one, was a Blackberry Curve I lost when I was talking to a friend in a convertible, and he thought it'd be funny to throw a NERF football at me.

I agreed when I walked in and figured it would be locked..apparently a lot of people have lost their cell phones. :| And I've never really lost my cell phone, but a lot of random stuff has happened to it and it's somehow managed to keep trucking. Oh, happened to my friend: One time at a golf course I was playing the back 9 with a group of friends. So we're crossing over a ditch to get to our ball (we're pretty bad) and my friend's girlfriend picks up his phone while we're over the ditch..then drops it. Next thing I know it's like 5 of us just looking at her, who is looking at the cell phone as it floats away for like 5 seconds. Then my friend (the boyfriend) yells and runs to get it. Somehow the phone lasted like 2 weeks before it shut off though.

haha

That's gotta suck. Crazy that it lasted two weeks though.

I know so many girls at school who have had their phone in the back pocket of their pants and when they go to stand up in the bathroom, it just falls out and goes down the drain...

My uncle was walking down the road and stepped in a hole and while he was recovering from stumbling, his phone fell in a puddle. lol.

My friend's girlfriend got mad at him and kick it into the road where about 2 seconds later it got ran over by a semi.

My other uncle had an EnV and he got mad and when he went to open it, he completely ripped the top half off..

My mum was sunbathing once, when our dog was a puppy. Phone was on the ground, vibrated... the dog ate it.

Went into a lake with it in my pocket.

I've gotten a phone stolen, lost, destroyed, and ran over. :/

I have really bad luck with phones. My second phone I had got stolen from me at a park, I was sitting on a bench and I got up to help my friend with something and I accidentally left it on the bench, I came back and it was gone.

My fourth phone I lost at Knotts on one of the rides. I got on Ghostrider and halfway through the ride it flew out of my pocket and fell to its billion piece death.

My fifth phone was lit on fire by my evil little cousin. I don't really want to get into this one. :/

My sixth phone got ran over by a car. What happened was, I was skating at a spot in my town that had stairs into a sidewalk. Which was right next to the street. I tried the stairs a couple of times and I had stuck it twice. So my friend got out his camera so we could film it. When I went to do the stairs, I landed wrong and my board shot out into the street. It was a red light so I ran out to save my board, when I got the board, my phone slipped out of my pocket and I didn't realize it was in the street until it was too late. :(

So now, I'm at my 7th phone and so far nothing has happened to this one. I'm taking better care of this one too. I really like it.
