Because you can't give anyone anything without them ruining it. A main reason behind our previous ban on such assets.

And CDK908, don't even try to lie. You don't have the diffuse because the place you illegally downloaded the model from only supplied you with the normal map.

I don't know how to accomplish all that Tru, but the current state looks fantastic...I would lean him just a *little* bit more forward, then maybe add some more explosion-related colors in the background to make the scene more aware..then maybe some rocks being pushed back or rumbling a little on the ground? Not sure, but I like it.

Make him lean forward more and bring all of his limbs closer to his center of mass. He should be trying to not get pushed over; in his current state, he wouldn't stand up for very long.

Put his arms in front of his face and make his front feet lift a little bit to give the feel that he is being pushed back. As for the environment. Im thinking of a desert landscape with the ark activating. Or a cityscape with the explosion from halo 2. Particals will help a lot.

Wow that is incredible. The only thing is the hands make him look like he is going to cry like a little girl.

when i ment his hands covering his face i mean that as in like his arms crossing in front of his face so he is trying to defend himself. Raise the arms up a bit more and move his right foot a bit back more. I will render a pic of what i mean soon.

Edit: here is what i mean.
I used particals with motion blur in this one.

Those are blurred backward. It looks like they are hitting him in the back and he is running from them.

Floating spheres spasming back and forth it looks like. The pose idea itself just seems odd in general deehunter, why would an armored spartan cover his head with with hands, its not like hes going to get anything into his eyes; and if something is going to injure his head so badly that he needs to use his hands, I don't think his hands are easily going to stop it. That and if the spartan was afraid of debris it would seem more logical to face the other way or dodge it, but I don't think thats what tru intended. i personally thought the first pose looked better and Shout had a decent suggestion for it. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

As for an environment, I personally would model a rocky/sandy type ground, after you create an environment I think it would be easier to pick the right properties of an explosion to go with.

I was trying to get more of the feel that he was crossing his arms in front of his head and his leaning foreward just a little bit to give a sence he is being pushed back. That render was simply a reference that im trying to give out should not be taken seriously because its not a render im trying to get support on but a runder to give an idea of what he was doing. I was trying to talk to tru but he couldnt speak because he was haveing some problems. Also those are boxes not spheres. Stop with the constructive critisism when im not trying to make a full render.

Anyways i was trying to make scratches on master cheifs armor and i was woundering if i did this ok. It will not keep its detail because most of my render are captured far away and not upclose. I made detailed scratches for HD purposed.
