How do i use your template to make my own main menu pic?


I have my bmp pic that i took with Yelo, but how do i use it with the template you provided?

You saved it wrong, look at how I saved it in the tutorial.

Just make a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+E) and paste your picture on that layer, resize it (Ctrl+T), and then drag the template layer over your picture.

I am having trouble adding that DDS plugin, it always gives me an error when I pull up Photoshop, and try to add the plugin.

ok, Now that I got the DSS Patch on my Photoshop, when I try to load the DDS picture into serenity I get an error stating its the wrong width or something like that, and I need to patch it differently.

Do you know whats wrong?

Also I decided not to load the picture in this time. The map showed up on the game as Carousel like its supposed to. I put the map in with the rest of them, but when I try to load the map I instantly get "You Failed to Load the Map". I wanted to make sure it was not the patch I downloaded so I put it on the original map Gemini, and loaded it, and it worked fine.

if you need a picture of the error on serenity, I can take one.

Also it would help ALOT if you didnt use a map that was already put in the game by bungie, because I got SO confused. It would also help a little if you showed the FTP process, and preview in the game.

so, can you/anyone else help me fix this problem?

i'm new to this and am trying to get a hang of this

Yes. Put the disc in your drive and FTP to D:\

yeah well when i did that i lost the connection, if you mean the halo 2 disk then it loses connection,

even when i have the other disk in what happens is that i only see the four folders with the maps in there, there is no mainmenu.map there
