Have you created your own bump maps? Bump maps are what makes it stick out like that. So if you injected a bump map, then the referenced bitmap should have some depth already.crabby wrote:do you know how to do it? i have just learnt how to put custom bump maps in halo 2 already just wanna know how to make it stick out like that

yes i have created my own bump maps but they dont stick out as much, it was just the lighting effects from nades and projectiles that make it stick out a little bit.kibito87 wrote:

I only made 3 skinning comps before I kinda stopped modding Halo 2...But that doesn't mean I should stop the whole comp because I'm not fuly doing it (although Id make a skin for this)
So I was wondering, any demand for another skin comp? Of course, you don't have to (just like the modding comp going down the drain)
Just curious..If yes, it could start in a fortnight or something

Also, if there still is enough demand I'd most likely be inclined to either make it a post your vote for the winner, or just me as a judge...Only because the last 3 times have been brought down by judge delays.
Even though its only two of you so far, I'm happy that there are people who still want to
I'd probably make it 3 weeks...2 Might be too short for some people...but I can understand the month wait+the judge time of the previous ones.

My DVD drive wouldnt open(Thanks MrBalll for that fix), and my debug FTP wouldnt work either.Darkshallfall wrote:Your box wasnt broke it was your controllersand another skinning comp will pick up halo 2 modding again so lets get this thing rollin........
Fixed it all. ;P Except the damn controllers, but I guess thats not that big of a deal, I can just move the wire around till it works...

lol happened to me .. kind of
all my controllers kept dosconnecting i find the best way is to unscrew cut the wire before the plastic seal strip it back and reconnect it to the connections inside the pad tape up with electrictions tape and ther u go a few inches shorter but no controller disconnected.-DeToX- wrote:But my xbox was broke. That could be because you have your maps cached and Halo2 is loading the cache maps instead of your original .maps. What you would need to do is ftp to your xbox using unleashx or evolutionx and find the x,y, and z partitions. Delete the files in those. Reboot. Then start up H2 and load the map. Now they should appear skinned.lodimasneedstolearntoskin wrote:ive been trying for ages now ive tried a number of different ways too im not entirely shure how you skin something anyway everytime i edit my bitmap i inject it back in and it appears to be there on DH and wen i boot up my box it dosnt apppear skinned ( im skinning vehicles right know but i guess same rule applies for all)
