try using the same one as halo 2 see what happens.

Needs AA. The bump looks very bad without it. I find it difficult to even analyze the render when it has rough edges as it does. It's too distracting.

i don't know how it looks. the reflection is from halo 2. only thing from halo 3 was the normal map. i had to make my own diffuse map cuz i can't find it anymore. i also had to make the cc from scratch(or at least begin with the normal map)

it looks a bit bad but tell me how i can improve it.

Make the reflection more diffuse (if that's possible).
I know nothing about rendering, so please don't treat me like a noob. :?

The armor looks to shiny needs to be way more dull. Get some pics of the Campaign Halo 3 Master Chief and compare it.

Use an alpha map with bumps and scratches and make it a specular.
