1.Don't remove anything from the model.
2.Don't add any extra vertices to the model.
3.Make sure its the FP model you edit.
4.Make sure you inject it back into the weapon's FP mod2 tag.
Thats a bit idiotic to say to me, I know that's wrong. But if you want the most detailed model to be seen in FP, then make sure that's the model you edit.
it means you will see the most detailed 3rd person model anywhere from the map. like watch the hog as you walk back, it changed models to cut down on the rendering lag.
That's what objconverter does (mac only). It takes the mod2 meta, finds where all of it's model data is for verts and inds, then writes to that entire section and tells the mod2 that there's only 1 Level of Detail. Shame it's such a hassle to use.
