What chip? i really need help

I am interested in getting a chip (no soddering) and i have no price limit. What are the differences between each chip and what chip would you recommend (on/off plz)

if you don't want to purchase anything over $30, go with a software mod.. I use the font hack with two of my boxes, and it works 99.9% of the time... that 0.1% is when the boxes get stuck in a clock loop....

Get a excuter 2 or the newest version of it. Then decide if you want a switch because if you want to play on xbox live then you'll need to be able to turn off the modchip.
