Help with Vehicles
Can someone give me a good explanation of how to get the pelican, or covenant dropship, etc. into a mp level such as bloodgulch? I have tried numerous times myself and other posts on this topic haven't seemed to help so if anyone has successfully done this coould you please help me out?
Well then you should know by having read the other post that nobody has really completely injected a perfect working Pelican into MP, and shown proof. The only real issue at hand is the model injecting part. All the other properties of the Pelican and Wraith have been solved. When someone knows, believe me, you will too. It will be all over the boards.

Don't get me wrong, it is possible to get these SP vehicles in MP. It is getting them to be 100% perfect that seems to baffle everyone. Some people can't get the skins to map correctly, others can't get the models to inject right. Once these 2 problems are solved, and they will be, we're in business!!!

Sorry if I seem like a noob but I still haven't been able to get the pelican in an mp map and I don't mean perfect I mean I haven't gotten it in the map at all. And I am somewhat familiar with hmt 3 cause I have been able to get the poa explosion for a nade and the sentinel weapon and such but could someone please tell me the steps neccessary to do this for the different vehicles?

Woah. This topic has gotten lots of replies fast and darn... Like 8 users browsing this forum. Well... Firstly I fiqured out something to make vehicles better. Then I have model and paste into Gmax. ( Yes, I do have plugins
) Then I have the crappy model and paste that in Gmax. Then I paste the new one into the old one and save it perfectly. Now Import into Hmt3 with good model and I make sure all the textures are right. Now I test in Halo Pc and it looks beautiful. Even at that though I'm working on getting it even better.

3. Goto Vehicles and Click Pelican And Check Recursive Which Is Next To Save Meta.
4. With That Checked Click Save Meta And Save It To A Folder. ( I Did Pelican And Extracted Pelican Data There )
5. With That Extracted Make Another Folder. I Called Mine Blood Gulch Since I Wanted A Pelican In Blood Gulch.
6. Now Put An Unmodded Version Of Blood Gulch In That Blood Gulch Folder.
7. Open That Map In Halo Map Tools V3.
8. Click Batch Extract and Extract Meta Data And Extract It To That Blood Gulch Folder.
9. Now Click Start Batch Extraction.
10. When Done Put All Of Pelican Data Into Blood Gulch Folder And Click Yes To Overwrite.
11. Now Open That Same Map Again In Halo Map Tools V3.
12. Click Rebuild Map And When At That Screen Click Browse And Open That Map In Blood Gulch Folder.
13. It Will Say Do You Want To AutoMatically Fill In Open Spaces? Click Yes.
14. Now Under Additional Files Click Add And In Blood Gulch Folder Goto Vehicles --> Pelican --> Pelican.Vehi.Meta I think it is called... Well Anyway Click The Vehicle Pelican.
15. Now Click Build.
16. When Done Rename BloodGulch.Rebuild.Map Which Is In The Blood Gulch Folder With BloodGulch And Put It In MAPS Folder.
17. Now Open That Same Map And Swap A Vehicle With Pelican. Rest Is Up To You And Your Skills.

You could have just told him to open up the readme.txt that came with HMT3. Follow these steps and yet the model still will not translate right, at least for the Pelican. I have not tried the Wraith yet. And while it is informative to those who seem to have overlooked the readme.txt file, it doesn't solve the issue of the messed up models. Oh well...

Ok I've got it in now I just didn't know which files I needed to add. I'm now having the same problem lebowski mentioned in another post with importing the __unnamed (0) - 5668 vertices -- 9212 indices.obj file because of the out of bounds exception thing and I haven't figured out what to do abou that and I guess no one does.
