That completely ruins VIP and I'll veto it every time now.Bungie wrote:In one-sided VIP matches, the attacking team will now see a waypoint for the VIP they are hunting.

You may believe the reason I lost is because of skill. Think about it though, if you have an oddball in a ffa game, how are you gonna double team them without a microphone?

That happened to me on accident once...I was surprised. Then again, you won't really live too long once someone starts shooting at you, even if it's with an AR.sneakyn8 wrote:i found a good oddball spot on the narrows if ur on the very bottom bridge (the one thats see through with energy going all around it) you can jump and survive by landing on the very bottom if you move more than two steps you die

I love killing people with those weapons?Modtrocity wrote:I hate lone wolves because one person gets the Hammer and one gets the sword and then it's all over.
That's why you run backwards and shoot them, even a magnum will do the trick if you don't run into a wall, or they're above average intellegence and take cover instead of chasing you.Modtrocity wrote:

Also, I think 1:00 is too short for the oddball games.
Even if you had a microphone, would you tell someone else "Hey, help me double team the guy so that I can win."? No, you wouldn't. So, why complain?DoorM4n wrote:I have been playing a lot of Lone Wolf and the same old *** happens everytime. Damn dude simmer. This was a simple discussion not an argument. However, if I could talk to the opponents about trying to double team the oddball man I truly would. If you knew me on Live you would clearly see I am the strategic type and I like to guide people through procedures to kill enemies. When you have 4 guys against one ball carrier and everyone is killing around the ball and not the actual ball carrier, the game becomes very frustrating. This happens every time I play oddball. Therefore, every oddball game I have played, the winner won by approximately 30 seconds. Check my stats if you still think I'm complaining...DrXThirst wrote:Even if you had a microphone, would you tell someone else "Hey, help me double team the guy so that I can win."? No, you wouldn't. Also, if you see someone else running for the front of the ball carrier then run behind the ball carrier and try to get there at the same time so that you can kill him.
Killing the ball carrier is not hard at all. Just don't rush. Throw grenades and shoot. You may not have lost because of skill, however you may very well have lost because of your strategy / the way you think. Halo is not a "Point-and-Shoot" type of game like most people refer to it as. You must also you tactics and be able to think on your feet. If X happens then I do Y. If W happens then I do Z. Etc, etc. Although you cannot predict everything that someone is going to do seeing as how you may get matched up with someone that has an entirely new playing style than everyone you have previously played with / against. That's where it comes down to who can keep their aimer on someone, who has the faster reaction time, who has the best skill, who thinks the smartest, who looses their pride and who's the better player.
Bottom line is that there's nothing you can do, so why complain? Why not just merge with the merging? Just learn to play the game like everyone else and quit complaining.
