Trouble installing Halo PC on new OS.

xp pro ownz over vista anyday.. only reaqson vista is good because of its bs compatibility but when it comes to saving memory and resources its a major failure.. had o find this out in personal experience altho vista is better with its run times id rather have a os thats trustable

ok i will give you that XP beats vista but Mac OS X beats winblows all the time.

I'm not sure if this would fix your problem but it will prevent problems with other games in the future.

im tellin you man ur makin this kid waste his money get vista basic or just go back to xp ive installed halo on vista and it was on a laptop.. ran halo like a beast was pwning kids in less then 10 mins

Listen, what kind of laptop was it? A new one? With 1 gig of ram? AND a sound card?
This "kid" doesn't have a sound card. It's probably his problem.

generic acer with 512 and barly a 1.gig cpu without sound drivers installed. sooo i dunno

NimAyanami your sig basically breaks every single sig rule completely...
Also, all halo pc apps (Modding tools ect.) work on vista.

do explaine how that is so....just because it has animation... i dont get it.. if they didnt want any animation they wouldnt allow .gif .. and if that is the case then why allow it . .gif is for animation... and btw next time dont be a dick.. just say read the rules... heh

I think you're full of it.
First off, vista won't run on anything less than 2 ghz.
Second off, acer's don't come with vista. They come with Win 98.. Or ME or 2000.. whichever it is.

none the less it runs vista and halo and it was the one i used when i did it.. and btw the vid is 64 mb... plays nintendo 64 emu's like a pro
