I see an image in HMT but what is it?

1:open bloodgulch in hmt 3.5
2:look in bitmaps for weapons\ball\bitmaps\gameball_100
3:Click it...

It looks like a skull but I've never seen something like it in Halo. Could it be something on the flood?
