sniper function
sniper function
if there is a more appropriate topic direct me 2 it if you are holding the sniper and you zoom in but hold down the r stick then let go you zoom only for the duration the stick is held down the same thing happens if you are already zoomed to 5x you zoom to 10x then go back to 5x
I noticed this in Halo 2 as well, but nice find.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

Nope, once you zoom back to 5x, it makes you zoom back into 10x again. It would give you less of an advantage if anything.Shadow LAG wrote:Didn't know this either this is very relevant and can give you that little extra 1up on the enemy in shottys and snipers rather then cycling through the zoom modes.

heh, I click the sticks so fast, it doesn't make that much of a difference, and sense I am in the habit of clicking once I am shot anyways, it would cause problems.
[offtopic] HAve you guys ever been zoomed in and heard a shot fired at you, so you try to zoom out, but you get hit, and it auto zooms out, so you zoom in, and then you try to zoom back out, but get shot aigan, and basically you get stuck zooming in and die? Ok thats heard to interpret >_>

Yea, I know what you're talking about. You think you are zooming out but you get shot and then you zoom in again. It just goes all down hill from there.
Anyways, I think this is more for looking around / scoping out the area for enemies. You hold it down for as long as you want to see, then let go. I guess they did it so that you don't have to click the thumbstick 2x or for machinima. I'm not sure. Nonetheless, it's a pretty cool feature to have.
