Warthog theam music mod (Warthogs engine noise is now music)
I made this mod while messing around.... I can't really make a pic of this mod....... ummm anyway Here you go!
is it the full music? or just looping bits of a song. i really wanna put music in for the ambience but i have 2 problems
1. for some reason when i convert a file to adpcm or w/e .wav i still cant put it in with hmt
2. after i figure out how 2 convert it i need to know how 2 extend the time for the ambience so the whole song can fit instead of the first 5 seconds looping

I think it would be looping bits, cos the engine sound loops....blink 182 wrote:is it the full music? or just looping bits of a song. i really wanna put music in for the ambience but i have 2 problems

The reason it doesn't go back into HMT is because it needs to be exact same length as the original, and I think same bitrate or something...are you using the XBOX ADPCM Codec? Cos you need to export with that, not just standard ADPCM codec.
Not sure how to 'extend' the time though...
Thats cos your using standard adpcm, not the xbox adpcm codec....lolblink 182 wrote:ok heres my process-use Complete Audio Converter Pro 3.1 to take a .mp3 file from itunes and convert it to ADPCM wave. then open map in hmt and click import track. then i get an error saying its not an adpcm encoded wave file lol
You don't, you install the codec, codec= encoder/decoder, like what you install to view DivX encoded files etc, only tis an audio one, you may have to search google for it, if it isnt here, I'm not sure, but I think I maybe (either here or in files forums) posted it as an attachment to a sound related problem, probably in files...but anyways, there u go, have a search :Pblink 182 wrote:oo so were can i get a program that can do that
You got the wrong idea of a codec, it isnt a program with menus etc that you select from, divx has a frontend for its configuration, but most don't, its sort of like a development kit is to halo, allows you to create stuff in its image...although a codec sits in the background, other programs take advantage of it to create the files...blink 182 wrote:ok but isnt it still a program that just encodes the song?
You can do it with sound recorder for windows.....there are other programs, but you must still install the codec to use it...
