so im guessing this can kinda confirm that the planet is onyx and the next game will pertain to the books but not necessarily the mc.

Clearly. The only thing in the Halo Universe besides Earth and the Halos is Onyx. Nothing exists outside of the games and books.

Hmm...between Peter Jackson and Bungie? From what we've seen of Jackson, he's done good stuff with movies...maybe an uber-realistic game in the Halo universe, and with AMAZING cutscenes?

If this is true, I claim that I thought of it first.

The "unnamed Peter Jackson Halo project/game" has been known for an extremely long time. You're not the first.

The Halo-Hype of that game will probably cause people to literally kill each other while waiting in line a month early. Exaggeration of course, but I say it because it seems like Bungie is just draining the rag of Halo. There are so many ways they could go to make another game, and they could probably release more Halo games for years, but I'm tempted to say that they just need to stop. The only reason I would want another Halo is to see what that planet was, but then they'd leave us with another cliff-hanger to pay 60 dollars to resolve...only to find another.

kinda but i think after all this discussion weve had that the next game won't lead directly to marathon. that statement by bungie about peter jackson's stuff kinda confirms that.
