This mod is quite an incredible idea. It's somewhat simple, but it's creative, and it's definately got 3volved-grade material.

One thing that you could do is make the seat a passenger seat, then use the DotHalo ability (dunno if Entity has it, haven't used Entity in a while) to make the passenger seat a driver seat as well. This way, you can fire your weapon as the driver.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, I'd add a red Monitor on the map, too (the monitor from Backwash... Penitent Tangent, if I remember correctly?). Maybe one spawns objects and the other spawns weapons... hell, you could make a bunch of different Monitors (different colors, I mean), and each spawns something different (object, weapon, vehicle...).

Anyway, 10/10 for creativity.

Spartans vs. Monitors/Oracles/Forges/Whatever
Just replace the elite with the monitor model, make it fly, allow it to interact with vehicles but not equip weapons. (Not impossible.) Give monitors a default weapon. (Not sure how to do that. Seen it done before, though!) That default weapon would be:

Left trigger - ages weapon into a different weapon, which spawns a different object.
Right trigger - spawns current object, depending on the weapon wielded.

One of the weapons could move objects around. :wink:
I play on XLink Kai as FJGamer. (FJ is my Halo 2 profile.) I have a mic, and I love to play 8 on 8 mics versus no mics. I also love to mod Halo 2. For some reason Halo 1 won't work on system link, though.

while that is a clever idea, ageing isnt slc :(

Make a monitor spawn on the map, my app can edit the object spawned with the click of a button and instantly change what is spawned when you click the trigger button.

The UI will also actually look like the forge menu too.

But you would need an XDK xbox/debug xbox, which alot of people have.. If not, you can install it with a program called XDI. No one will tell you where to get this program, because it is illegal.

Anyways its a very easy concept...

You should replace Banshees with monitors(obviously dont make them spawn where the banshee is) in H3volved. That way there will be forge in each map, and you can turn monitors on and off with the option in the gametypes to spawn a banshee. Which is just a simple yes or no option.

I think it would be cool.

detox could you make your app save the posistions of spawned objects and then have the option to load them up again mb?

Doubt it. I would need to find player location + projectile distance of spawn (Somewhere in memory, I didn't ever learn where, maybe Xbox7887 could help me out.. But that might be too much to ask for him), and check which projectile was spawned(easy). Save all the info to a list.

From there I can go do 2 different things.

-Chunk clone some reflexives, put the info in them... Save as new map.
-Inject a script into memory telling what to be spawned where, or the game engine to create this object(pretty sure its possible, but I don't know how to do that either, and like I said, a bit much to ask of Xbox7887).

I'll just leave him a PM now.

well instead of the microsoft XDK. why not use open XDK. it makes xbe's but without the signature. we all have modded xboxes so it seems like that would be the way to go.

Thats a sick idea, I think he should definitely do that, it would bring more Halo 3 feeling into Halo 2. Except it would be a map option unlike Halo 3. But that would still be sick

Actually, only the host can age the weapon. Not entirely sure what happens for others, but hey, they should have the same maps, so it poses no problem.

No. Just no.
I would like to keep banshees in the game. They're the only aerial vehicle. Therefore, replacing them would change the gameplay significantly. For the worse or better, I would rather have an aerial vehicle than a Forge vehicle replacement. Besides, the Forge should be a character type. It adds a reason to play as the other character type, and people will finally have reason to have 2 profiles to play as.
