Anyone get halo 3 to work on xbc yet?
Anyone get halo 3 to work on xbc yet?
Halo 3 Question
There has got to be a way to get xbc to run halo3 on it. If halo 3 can run on live without the connection speed affecting it then there has to be a way to get xbc to be able to run it. All live is a server with some extra middle man software. Anyone got any ideas on how?
PS (HALO 2 QUESTION SIDENOTE)
Theres got to be a way to also get modded maps to be loaded as a temp file across the system links for a gaming session so then afterwards it would reload the original bungie copy back into the cache or w/e it does. Just an idea that is side topic. Pm me anyone that has ideas on either of these ideas.

No. It has a ping filter or something that only permits it to function on Live, not over a tunneler, as most 360 games do.
No. The only way to mod the content with the current technology is to mod the console's firmware, then burn a new disc every time you modify a map. On top of that, we don't even have any public modding applications.

Facepalm.
I'll clarify, seeing as how my intention wasn't blatantly obvious enough.
There are no public tools designed specifically to modify Halo 3 map files.
Even in your exploitation of my unspecified comment, you are still technically wrong. There is no application called "hex." There, I can exploit minor inaccuracies in wording when the author's purpose was clearly not that which I am exploiting. Am I cool now?

How does the other tunnling program do it?
How the heck does the other tunnel program work or do they just have a section without it working?
You can tunnel via system link using the entire interwebs as your "local area network." So it's not like xbox live, but it is like having a LAN party with people from all over the world. The tunneling software just helps you select which of the many different severs you want to pick along with providing the interface between xbox(360) and the internet while making the box think it's a system link.
Sounds like they have things worked out. Yay google?Xlink Forum Moderator wrote:Xbox 360 games have a system link "ping limit" which means that you will not be able to play with people who have pings over 30ms. Please make sure that your ping to the host is LOWER than 30ms, otherwise you will not be able to join their game.
Only users that have an upload bandwidth of 512kbps or more should host larger Halo 3 games (6+ players). If you have 256kbps upload, please set the maximum players to 4 in your arena options. The less upload bandwidth you have, the less players you can host. Test your bandwidth speeds here www.speedtest.net
Team XLink highly recommends that you do not host or join games in this arena. Since this is a public arena, you cannot kick people from your Halo 3 games. Please create a private arena and set your status to "Hosting". It is your responsibility as the arena moderator to kick people with bad pings, cheating modders, and gamers with annoying voices.
