(Halo 1)BSP Remover program.

Post by Xhzjang »

This does what it says it does, removes the BSP, both the collision and the visible from your map... why do that you ask? Well you can create totally new scenery maps floating in space as it leaves behind an almost limitless space to build whatever you want in it, such as my recent space map Vortex:

Ooh look pretty commandlineness...

Haha I expected something like this coming out after the post of Vortex.

Nice though, fun to see how we can get all sorts of specialised tools lately.
It should be a fun combination using engineer and this BSP remover.

Hmm just thought we could now (in combination with Engineer) create perfect habitats for longswords&lifepods...

Your readme could be a little clearer, this might be easy for you, but I dont know wether to put a folder, a shortcut or a text document called mapnames.ini in.

Its the way it works, you rename the map you are inputting so you get the name the game recognises as output, just saves time renaming things for halo to play it.

when ever i open it it just says mapnames.ini does not exist

but really there is a file called mapnames.ini in there

and

in the filename thing, do yo have to put in the path such as

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\MAPS\bloodgulch.map

or just

bloodgulch.map

you can put the path, or if the program is in the same folder as the map, just the mapname.

try making sure it is really .ini, windows has a nasty habit of adding .txt on the end... try turning off hide known file extensions in folder options.
