That particular idea sounds like cheating... BXR is already an exploited cheesy hack to begin with. Why would you give it a hotkey? Why not just go all out with fully automatic, plus rapid recharging ammo so you never have to reload? Might as well jack up the AA while you're at it, or at least the reticle magnetism. Or just make a grenade that kills everyone on the map except for you.
Not to jump down your throat or anything. Just extrapolating to the logical conclusion.
However, I would also like to know if buttons can be remapped or programmed somehow in software, with more options than I'm currently aware of. Assigning melee to R or fire to B is fine and dandy, but what about making the game think you're continually holding L, or mapping Y button to R+L? I could think of some clever applications for this sort of thing. For the record, I have actually wrapped a rubber band on the controller to hold the L trigger for a mod I made. Bootleg as all get out, but it worked.
I suspect the best you could do is hack your own control scheme in the main menu, like Southpaw or Solitaire or whatever they're called. It would just be a one-to-one mapping of the joysticks and buttons. And even that sounds far-fetched to me. I'd rather hear it from someone who knows better than I though.

Retired. Thank you neodos, DemonicSandwich, DarkShallFall, Dragonfire, foxfanatic2317, GOWO and everyone in the hall of fame.
If you want to know how I did something, take apart my mods.

the only buttons that can be mapped to are R, L and B in Sp

well, duh....Agent ME wrote:Xbox7887 once made a trainer that mapped the dpad to movement (for use with a ddr pad) - it's obviously possible with a trainer/memory editing.
