It's all about confidance. If people can tell you're embarassed about having your grandma there, they'll make fun of you. I dunno how you are about swearing, but I've made a few people look like idiots by saying "what the fuck are you honestly making fun of?"

Where I come from, if you say that to someone, you must really want your nose broken.

Or you can kill them and their whole family, do that to enough people and nobody will be left to make fun of you ;)

Fighting someone because they make fun of you makes you look weaker (on the inside, if not the out). I know this is rather cliche, but taking the high ground is best in my opinion. Now, if someone starts making fun of someone you care about, such as a sibling, parent, girlfriend, et cetera, then fighting I believe can be called for (as long as you win). To avoid sticking out and causing the possibility of a fight, find yourself a close friend that you can hang around with and just chill. I've never been one to care much about the social map. Some people like me, some don't. I have about 3 friends I just chill with most of the time, and anyone else is either unimportant, or secondhand.

I can't recall myself saying that.
Anyways, I don't fight alot. I find it to be lame and barbaric :/
But hey, when I need to fight for what reason, be it self defense, alright. That's okay with me.

ive only had to resort to it a couple of times i hope i don't have to do it again because
1. i normally end up having blood somewhere on my body.
2. i get in trouble for hurting other people.
3. theres plenty of tall kids who are teachers pets and would kick my ass if i was fighting.

I know it's been said before, however, just don't mind what people think of you.

From 5th - 7th grade, I tried to be cool, and what people thought of me was everything. I was the biggest looser in the grade.
Once I hit the end of 8th grade, I decided to be my own man, and stop being a follower. I decided to be a leader, even if I was the only person in the pack. I just decided forget about what people think of me. Now, I have a lot of really great friends, I can be myself in public, and I get a lot of respect from people (well, the ones who know me).

Just relax.
