Actually yeah they are, atleast some...

serenity voting(Critic, Commentator, etc) is very easy.

Skinning seems to be easy, you just need to make a skin that isn't bad.

And modding doesn't look that hard to get either.

It looks like only H2 modders and a few select legendary Halo PC modders get those emblems. I'm not saying this 'cause I want one, I don't care whether I have one or not. It's just, there's some great HPC mods out there that go without any recognition anymore.

I talked to I_F about giving some PC modders more recognition, and though I'm not sure of his exact thoughts of the matter, he leaned my direction on the idea. So I think us pc modders will be alright still. Especially with Vista out.

I'd have to agree with that.

Odd, because I voted on all the ones I could find and I never got it.

I would think that posting in the topic is also required.

I don't like either.

I don't like any system where you reward or let people have a certain degree...there are just too many factors influencing it for it to be accurate in any way.

This from somebody with no emblems....

I think it's a lot of fun, to be honest. It's a way of rewarding people for contributing here.

Like what? If you do something good in a specific field and you are recognized for it, then you get an emblem for that specific field. If your constant at it, then you get more chevrons added to the emblem. It's as simple as that..

Thanks. Perfect example why this emblem system is pathetic. Judging people by their emblem or just because they don't have one.

Actually, I guess it's because I haven't visited this forum in a long time. The forum has lost it's quality of modding a long time ago. I just visit this forum occasionally.

I just felled like dropping by and while doing that, also my opinion.

Pshh...

Patrick isn't an active poster here anymore because he was against the merge. If there's some sort of scripting emblem, he deserves the fourth chevron. Just look at his signature.

It's hardly as inaccurate as you would like to make it seem. If you are deserving of a specific emblem and are active in doing whatever it warrants, you will get one. Yes, it's subjective, but that does not make it inaccurate. People in control of emblems have sound judgment and wouldn't play favorites. If they were neglecting to reward them fairly, they would be removed. It's as simple as that. It's accurate enough that the system should remain in place. I fail to see what your core reasoning for the comment was, care to provide any specific evidence to support your claim?

Yeah, it was total sarcasm (hence the ). I really was just trying to make light of the situation, not insult anybody.

(EDIT) Wow, I really killed this topic. Will somebody break this akward silence with topic-relevant information?

Add another few zeroes to the 10. Maybe like 100000000000000x better... :?

BTW, I heard that if you voted on all the Serenity Repository mods (I did that a while ago cause I was bored and I wanted to add in my input on the mods :D ) that you get an emblem for voting on everyone. Is this true?

Concerning the emblem contest, I only realized after the voting that there where two "idealist" emblems. I voted for the one that didn't win, not sure if other people did also. Just puttin' this out there.

Perhaps the one that "won" is one nobody voted for.

But they were all virtually identical. The votes from any of those would be counted towards the same counter, as they're just variations of each other. They're still classified as being one set. I would assume Detox's two very similar sets with the same names would be counted together as well.

I think there is a misunderstanding.
Image Is the winner...
Image Is the one with the same name, which I ( and maybe some others) voted for.
Although having the same basic idea, they don't seem to be part of the same emblem set, or as you put it "virtualy identical".
