I would I go about somehow creating some way to propel yourself. So if I turned off gravity, I could then rocket around persay.
Any ideas?

Check out my grappling hook mod. It is intended for use with gravity in effect, however.
I've tried flying around in zero gravity and it's quite difficult to change directions when using explosions as propulsion. You could try the classic ghetto jetpack, where you set the force of a trigger response tag to something like 3 or 4. That will make you fly in the opposite of the direction you're shooting. Try the Easy Flying Biped programs as well.
