The Void...A Xbox Map Conversion
I had a good mod idea, and I am far too lazy to do it myself so I will post it here.
Space War:
d40_space bsp
Covenant turret with secondary fire
Banshee
Pelican
Big octagon shaped elevator platform(from 343 GS?)
The map would look like this(crappy ASCII art time):
Top down view:
O---------------
OO-------------
O---------------
-------O--------
---------------O
-------------OO
---------------O
The 'O's would be those big elevator platforms. The outside platforms would be the bases. The bases would have 2 Banshees, a Pelican, some stategically placed Covenant Turrets, and the flag for CTF. The middle platform would be lower than the other 2 platforms, it would have the hill for king of the hill, and that is where the oddball would spawn. There would also be a Covenant Turret on that middle platform.
Vehicles are destructable, but they respawn in their original spots. I suppose you could get respawing vehicles by offset swapping the vehicles with Health Packs, Oversheilds, and Active Camo's. The secondary fire on the Covenant Turret would be rockets with a slow rate of fire. The primary fire on the Covenant Turret should have some force added to it, that way you can clear off the piles of destroyed vehicles. Also the Covenant Turrets shouldn't be able to be moved or flipped. Make them into real stationary guns.
Weapons should be mostly unmodified. Just make rocket launchers readily available as they are good against vehicles. Ridiculous weapon mods are good as a novelty, but in actual play they tend to be overpowered.

Nice
Yes this is a good step up for XBOX Halo. Then with the MODs from pokecancer and allister and The Swamp Fox, and .....I know lots more, I am having a blast thanks. NEXT I am glad it was made for the Xbox, finally something for the PC guys to wish they had , prolly won't be long PC guys, then you will . I think there was about 14 mods here,on the new file forum when I posted my first mod, and now look at it, kick ass. PS Had you noticed that the xbox had not been getting any attention, and then when there is this kool stuff, a swarm of people come back, it would be nice if some of these xbox modders got the praise they deserve, on the front page like the PC guys get ALL the time. And DAM the Xbox is only 150 bucks, a chip 40 bucks, and to mod it is easy as hell, SO take chance and Have FUN !!!!!

Since the void uses a huge open space, is there any reason why you couldn't possibly import some of the extra levels from Halo PC (not the 2 new ones specifically, but the maps that people created for halo pc). You would probably need to import a lot of things into the map, but you wouldn't have to worry about building the map inside of another level. It's just some crazy idea I had.
Re: a void for mod starters
The Swamp Fox wrote:ok, this is the void, except without any metadata changes. (i.e. no platforms, the warthog is still there) this one patches over BG, but you still load bg to play it. not chiron!
enjoy making mods from it!
and BTW: this mod would be much larger and more complex, had it not been for the lag...good luck making a better one, coco3030 (in case you thought getting rid of lag would be as simple as adding fog, heres news for you: you cant.)
Dude when i load yours there no ground!!
