s.k.a.t.e demo

Post by turk645 »

Any of you play the skate demo yet? I found it to be an interesting game after i got somewhat used to the control setup. The game has decent physics to it since it tries to be as realistic as it can. I would have a link to my vid of me crashing my head into a pole but i cant find it on the ea site.

I thought it was confusing at first, I think the controls are still hard to master.

I played it for 2 or 3 minutes and I was hooked, I've gotten all the controls down almost perfectly. :] I love the game.

I'll check it out and post later.
I've been playing Tony's since the beginning and disliked project 8...So maybe skate will be my next option

edit: Dayum! That's some crazy skate mechanics they got there! I wanna keep playing but right now all my tricks come down to luck

I especially like the video/picture uploading. I hope more games will implement it in the future.

Lol as soon as I finished that 'do 3 things in 15 seconds' bit I crashed straight into a pole..it was like, perfec :P (..and funny to watch again in the replay)

I didn't exactly see any real evidence of a good physics engine, I did see a lot of crappy animation though. (falling over is quite pathetic..)

The falling animations ruin it for me... I mean... they are too slow, and lack... force.

time slows down when you crash, that is why it looks a little wierd. Do a replay and you will see.
