Adding Music to Muliplayer
Adding Music to Muliplayer
How do I add music to a multiplayer map and have it start when the game starts and loop till its over.
Don't be.

Put it over a ambience sound. (I believe that is what it is called) The ones that loop over and over like a wind breeze. Take for example the sound in elongation when standing next to a control panel, you hear a whole bunch of beeping. If you inject music over that then it should play when standing next to it.

But, you aren't allowed to edit the length of the sound as far as I know. Also, you would then have to edit the coordinates of where the ambience plays, so it would play through the whole map.Rockymods wrote:Put it over a ambience sound. Wouldn't it be so much easier to start it with a script? Just build the music into the map, add a script and use the "sound_looping_start" function. You might look at the single player scripts if you want to see exactly how to script it.

Did you have to encode it in any way?sneakyn8 wrote:i did that once wut i did was took a couple songs combined them in windows movie maker as a wmv the injected it over a sound with a matching length and swapped that sound for the warthog engine and boom i had music to enjoy while taking a summer stroll through the battlefield
