Don't know yet. I don't see why it wouldn't stay. It will probably lose activity, because people will be making their own images, which falls better under a Halo 3 Photography thread.

Not exactly a weekly update, but I don't know where else to put this:

Bungie employee Frank O'Connor has been spotted playing the final retail build of Halo 3, which suggests that the game is 100% complete one month ahead of its official release date.

Once again, this is not official or anything, but it's going around all the popular news sites...make of it what you will I guess.

They don't call the game "Halo 3" if it's not final. He's playing a, or the, final build of the game. Other versions have varied titles (Epsilon, etc), because they are still technically incomplete. The fact that this is simply "Halo 3" directly implicates that it is the retail build of the game.

Yeah his gamercard even has the Halo 3 icon on mygamercard.net it says he has 2 of 49 achievements already.

No doubt they didn't want to pull a Microsoft and release the game months after the original release date, instead they put a date they knew the game would be, without a doubt, done by.

Indeed. They were once posed a question: "What are the chances of the game being pushed back?" - "We wouldn't set a date we weren't absolutely sure we could make."

Looking at his gamercard.net profile...looks like 2 other people beside Frankie have it too. Too bad we can't see the achievements he unlocked...

2 for 10GS...Must be playing some multiplayer since those are all worth 5 each.
