Are the at least offering some kind of trade in deal? Having to buy a new version every year or even every two years would kind of suck. =/

Nobody's forcing you to buy a new version. If your console works fine, if you don't need another, if you don't want to spend the money, just don't buy it. How is it a problem for you at all?

Also, to say that people who bought early got "screwed" or whatever, as I have seen many say, is completely ridiculous. To expect that a product would never be upgraded or have a better version produced later is absurd. You should always expect that something better will come out. That is a risk the consumer takes when purchasing. If you want the better version, you can buy it.

Before anyone presents a stupid "Evil Microsoft" theory, I'll respond to it:
I'm sure Microsoft made a lower-grade console to force people to buy a new one. That's good business. Of course. No. They produce updated consoles because the resources become available to them to do so.
