Open both pics in separate Tabs (If you have Tabs) then switch back and forth.

There is an extended skinny piece on the first picture.

Oh, if you're talking about the thing coming out of the bottom of the front, then it's just part of the background. It's those bluish lines on the wall.

One picture is from the exact same game, maybe ten seconds after the other. It's an optical illusion by the similarly colored background/scenery. It's an Assault Rifle.
