Iv'e been thinking
Why does everyone have HMT and HHT. I mean seriously. what cant you do on hmt that you can do on hht?
please tell me, i see no point in useing hht anymore. and i have found a fast way to pmi that is so infront of your face...but you dont take avantage of it.
so tell me please, what can hht do that hmt cant? please go ahead.

Plus, HHT can edit Halo CE maps.
EDIT: @ JK: Tee hee. ^_^

Dependency swaps... That's all I can think of.Andrew_b wrote:what cant you do on hmt that you can do on hht?
Edit: Damnit voltage, you beat me to it!

Why take the long path when the shorter one leads you to the same result?Andrew_b wrote:so...modding isnt about quickness...its about modding.
I will admit that I would've never thought of that, but that's only because I knew the easiest and most efficient way already.
Who's stopping you? Go ahead.Andrew_b wrote:but i do have a faster way to pmiwant me to share?

ok so say you want to pmi an AI
"omgz all the tuts say to pmi the bipd, actr, and actv i must do that"
no...actually all you need to recursively extract is the actv...and all you need to put in when you rebuild is "plasma_rifle.actv.meta" because all these tags are linked through the xml...hmt knows to grab what tags.
say you want to do multiple weapons...oh but you dont want the "hassle" of dealing with those tags...do i hear a itmc?
itmc have the weapons tags referenced in them...so walla...the weapons come out with the extraction...you rebuild by choosing the itmc.
"woah i just cut my pmi time from 20 minutes to like 2."

Ah yes, on topic: HHT is an extremely useful tool. Honestly, I can't think of a single use for meta swaps, and your way of dependency swapping is, well, dumb. HHT does the job way faster in a more organized fashion. I use it all the time.
