Modded Map wont load

Post by GruntHunter22 »

for some reason i cant play a map that i have been modding for the past few days. i played it once when i was doing some proj swaps and stuff but when i skinned a few things the map would load again. i tried to resign with a few different utilities and i disabled autoupdate but nothing. does it have to do with internalizing th bitmaps cause i do not know if u internalize then before or after skining. please help!

Wait, it says failed to load? Or it freezes?

And no, internalizing bitmaps has nothing to do with it if will load correctly.

You internalize a bitmap once you inject it back into the map.

You internalize and then inject your bitmap. Is the map freezing, or is it failing to load?

The man above you wrote:You internalize a bitmap once you inject it back into the map.
And also..
Wait, it says failed to load? Or it freezes?

You are giving him wrong instructions by telling him to internalize a bitmap then inject it? I think not. Also, You asked the same question I had before I edited my post. I added 'You internalize a bitmap once you inject it back into the map.'. I never said it was already there in the first place. So what are you trying to prove?

One question at a time. I don't know if he's failing to load or freezing, so I answer the questions that I can. I'm also not the one that edited my post to seem like I know more than the person below me. Let's wait for his answer, shall we?

it fails to load map. and another thing i noted that when i tried to fix its encryption w/ dothalo, it gave me a message that read "An unhandeled exeption bla bla... Unable to read beyond the end of the stream"

That's a problem. It's possible the stuff you did to the map broke it. Do you have a backup? If so, try loading that. If it works, try making your changes again.

It sounds like you corrupted the map, unless youi have a backup, you're going to have to start over again.

Just give it time. It takes a while sometimes. If you wait a long time and it's still not working, try re-saving the tag and building it into a clean map.
