[bitmaps] Civilian Warthog skin
I reskinned this hog myself, after those civilian hogs that you see in Halo Custon Edition (Free download, supports user-created maps, must have Halo PC CD key). You'll notice the texture is more "Halo 2" like, meaning that it is scratched and the paint is chipping off becuase it is battle worn. The seats are now a nice dyed leather color, and the tires are now a darker, oiled tires.
To install the bitmaps:
WARNING: Before you do anything, please back up your warthog_standard.bitmap and your tires.bitmap
Unzip the file wherever you like.
Copy and paste the 2 .bitmap files into the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2 Map Editor\tags\objects\vehicles\warthog\bitmaps
Whenever you import a warthog vehicle, be it Guass, Normal, or Troop, it will have the yellow civilian skin. I did not texture the turret, since this would work best with the civilian warthog.

you cant really call this a civilian warthog as its still got a F*ing huge gun on the back...be better off calling it the yellow warthog.

Mabey its acting up because of the skinsMcJix wrote:The turret always appears when its loaded in sapien. The Troop hog, when in-game, does not have a turret. My Halo 2 Game is acting up, so I can't get any in-game screens.
Look at the post that says: [Tag] Troop Warthog - Vehicle Collection File for an image of it if you don't believe me.

You do realise this is somewhat pointless? Unless you have a hacked geurilla to change all the names and directories there is no way for you to use this ingame. The shared.map has all the vehicle tags.
Edit: If you are going to use sapien to render then please use high resolution. (Add " -HighQuality" to the target in the shortcut)

I would test it out, but I can't use my Halo 2. If someone would be kind enough to try it, we could confirm this.skyline GT-R wrote:You do realise this is somewhat pointless? The shared.map's full name is single_player_shared.map. To me, that says its for single player. I.E. why else would it contain a cortana biped?
What does it's name have to do with it? And both of those files exist. Shared.map and single_player_shared.map.McJix wrote:The shared.map's full name is single_player_shared.map. To me, that says its for single player. I.E. why else would it contain a cortana biped?
I don't think these will work in-game - doesn't it when you compile the map just ignore shared bitmaps and just set it up to reference the bitmap in shared.map?
I guess I'll try using it but I'm not sure it'll work.
