Let me ease the stress of answering this question by giving a simpler one:
Does my mid B-average reflect my 155 IQ?
Or how about my brother who nearly failed his senor year? Does that reflect his 140+ IQ?

Grades are like emblems, if you can stand that comparison. It all depends on the teacher giving them out.

One simple answer. No.

You can suck at all the classes because you are lazy, or you just aren't good at any of them. But you could be amazingly intelligent with something else.

I guess that movie Cube(or something) where they are trapped in a facility of moving cubes ( >_> ). And they see a poor man who seems to have down syndrome, but later find out he can calculate the biggest equations not even a calculator can, which helps them find the way out of the facility.

He probably wouldn't do good at all of his classes except math, and get a student average really low. Meaning no, classes do not reflect intelligence.

:P i say no cause i am smart but my grades are average. School pisses me off to much to make me want to get straight A's. Funny that english is my worst subject, most due to lack of creativity in writing.

All my teachers ever tell me is that if I put the effort into my work I'd easily be the top student in all of my classes. However, I'm a lazy shit and I don't put any effort in. My class grades reflect this, though my exam grades are above average with little to no studying so I guess class grades mean jack shit.

Just my 2 cents in...

I live in Louisiana..which I believe is the 49th worst state in education, Mississippi being the worst (from what I've heard, but who knows, we are kinda dumb =P.)

Regardless, there are suck-ups, I'm sure, at every school. We have one at our school, who HAD a 4.0 until she met Judy Harvey. Harvey is a brick wall. Harvey doesn't give Paige being the sweet, preppy, cheerleader she is, anything. Paige survives most classes with A's due to sucking-up, as in offering to wash the board for bonus points. She literally "bargains" with the teacher.

She has a composite of 17 on the ACT.

I don't know what the SAT equivalent is...in Louisiana...we only take the ACT, and I'm not that smart. I have a 25 and a 3.8 GPA. You need an 18 to GET INTO A COLLEGE PERIOD. She didn't make it that high and she blames the test, saying tests don't show it, its all in your grades.

Actually your intelligence is neither tests OR grades. Tests simply test your memory, and grades just test your effort. I don't really do either, as I don't believe in them. I mean, do I the stuff I need to get like a B or an A, but I don't really worry about my grades that much, or my test scores. It's all BS, but you gotta do it.

That's only partially true. Yes, often times that is the case. However, they also serve as a test of knowledge.

thank you for posting that i kinda said the same thing earlier just didn't make it clear " as usual im bad about that "

any way im the same as most people im always told if you put just a little effort into school you could be an all A student and i think about it then my head hurts and i say oh well. my mom is especially bad about this she tells me all the damn time it gets so old. I am only a Junior we have 80 students im number 72 haha yet everyone either copies off my work or asks me for help in home room aka study hall aka w/e your school calls it. Computers are the only thing i like doing that is actually intellectual.

Doesn't change that your generalization was fairly inaccurate.
