Want the community to tell me how did you pick up halo, from a friend, family member or what. Then tell me how you got into the modding community here's how i got into it.
i picked up halo when i played it at a friends house i didn't have an xbox so we played the campaign all the time at his house halo was probably already a year old when i finally got an xbox lol then right after the release of halo 2 i got both halo 1 and halo 2 i played halo 1 for a long time then finished the game up with beating halo 2. i got into modding because of my sisters boyfriend, now my bro in law, he used to mod so i wanted to also so he hardmodded my xbox and at first i used halomaps.com to mod and we did some fun stuff with friends mostly projectile swaps because thats all we knew how to do at that time. then i came to halomods and got to where i am now which non of you know how good i am at modding since i never have released a finished mod lol but you will all find out in a little while
My friend had Halo 1 way back when it came out, and we liked it, so we scooped up a 'box and a copy of Halo, and the rest took off from there.
My modding days began when I saw a racetrack mod on Live, along with some other simple mods, and so I was eager to see if I could do the same kind of stuff without damaging my box, which led me to find out about softmodding. At first, I was just doing projectile swaps, and I got bored because I thought that's all there was to it.
my friend had halo 2, and kept bragging about it, so i finally went over to his house to play. i loved it, and got halo 1 (i already had an xbox) then beat that and loved it, got halo 2. i was watching these awesome xbox live videos on google when i saw this mod thing. i was like WOAH and started searching for how to do that. i found a tutorial and tada!

back in the day, I never really liked Halo. It was ok and semi-fun but nothing special to me. Then I became friends with my buddy and he always bugged me to play Halo with him. So I eventually started playing Halo1 Campaign with him. We beat it over and over again and each difficulty. Then we started to play with his brother and his brother's friends. That's where I became actually good at the game. I learned off those 2 for awhile. Then eventually I just became better than both of them. Then Halo2 was announced/came out and I played a few games on xbox live with a buddy. Everyone asked who is guest was on xbox live. He told them it was me and they urged me to get on xbox live. I eventually did and ever since i've played now and again. I still play if anyone would like to add me to their friends list. I like ranked games though.

i got into Halo cause it was the launch game. me and my bro just played campaign. then Halo 2. then i started softmodding and modding because i think i seen it on the internet i saw a modchip and i was oooooooo i need thatz shitzorz!!!!!! drooooooooooooolllllllllll! then i realized that was far away so i turned to softmodding tho i think i actually go into by getting Action replay saves that were like 'semimods' if you will, for campaign then i was like i need that shitzorz for MP and XBC then i found out that all i need was SC to go with my already bought AR then i was like OMFGROFLOMGZORZ DORRORRROOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLZORZ!!!!!!!!! then my box broke (my fault) then i also broke my bros xbox and he CRIED LOL that was so funny!!!!!! he was PIIIIIIIIIIISSSSED off. then i had to buy him a new xbox lol!! and i was pissed but now i am modding my bros xbox because he got a 360 and now im way smater i mean smarter and modding and its alot fun-er
