Why you should learn how to do this- Because HMT can't do everything. In guerilla you can add secondary triggers, more seats, and more particles and decals to effects. You can do a lot of other things.
Note: I did this at 1:15 (in the morning) so if I made any mistakes point them out and I'll fix it.
What you need:
Halo CE and HEK
HEK Plus (http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=1489)
Tool++ (recommended) (http://halo2.filefront.com/file/Tool;41020)
A Hex Editor or some application to change a map header (I recommend Hex Workshop)
Modding knowledge and patience *(no link for this)*
I'm going to do this tutorial fairly quickly, so if you get lost just reply with your problem and I'll help you. If you are totally confused then learn more about modding first.
Step 1: BACKUPS
Backup halo PC maps, bloodgulch for CE, and tags directory (within CE directory).
Step 2: preparing for building the map
This is in preparation for building the CE map. There might be an easier way to do this but I don't have time to experiment. Move the contents of the tags directory to another place or back them up. Basically the tags directory should be empty before using HEK plus.
Open HEK plus and open the PC map bloodgulch. You will see 15 folders, starting with camera. Click on them all (click camera, hold shift, and then click weapons). Then right click and press add to extraction queue. The tag extraction queue box should be visible, if not just make it under view. Uncheck "save extracted tag list" (unless you really want a txt file with hundreds of file names) and extract the tags for bloodgulch. At the end in your tags directory it should look exactly like a batch extract except the files are not .meta, they are guerilla tag files.
Step 3: Editing using guerilla
I won't really guide you through this because there are so many things that you can do in guerilla. If you want to add a secondary trigger to the sniper rifle, open sniper rifle.weap (in your tags). Scroll down to $$$weapon$$$ and check off "secondary trigger overrides grenades". If you are unsure about what flags and other things do, hold your mouse over and most will have a brief explanation.
Next go to magazines and click add. This creates a second magazine. Do the same for trigger. If you feel like you know what you are doing, fill in the boxes. Otherwise, MAKE IT THE SAME AS THE PRIMARY TRIGGER. The only difference you should make is the projectile, but you can always switch that later in HHT.
No matter what modifications you made to the tags, click save as and overwrite the original tag you worked from. Make a note of which tags you modded because it won't work unless you remember them.
Step 4: Making a CE map
Important: before you turn these tags into a CE map you have to delete bloodgulch in the CE map directory.
Close guerilla and open tool++ (if you have it, otherwise open a command prompt for tool, although I highly recommend tool++). Chose build-cache-file, and for scenario chose tags\levels\test\bloodgulch\bloodgulch.scenario.
Everything should go well. If you're not sure whether it worked go to the CE map directory and look for blood gulch. I had to do several things before I figured out how to work it, so don't get upset if it doesn't work at first.
Step 5: Changing the map header
Note: Some people use applications to change map headers. I advise against this. Using halo map version converter WILL NOT WORK. This is because if you open it in HMT, you CANT save recursively, and when you click save meta it actually saves as a tag file (like .weap).
What you have now in your halo CE directory is......a CE map. We want a PC map. This is most easily done by Hex editing. If you've never hex edited and don't know what a map header is don't worry. Open (in this case) hex workshop and open the CE map of bloodgulch we built. There will be a lot of numbers but don't be intimidated by that. At the top is the numbers 6102, change that to 0700. A few lines down is 363039, change that to 353634. Don't forget to click save (duhh)
Here are some before and after pictures for "slow" readers.
Change

To this

ALMOST THERE!

Step 6: Rebuilding a PC map
Do a batch extract of bloodgulch.map (PC). I have a batch extract of bloodgulch in my backups folder, its much easier than batch extracting every time.
Remember when I said write down any tags you modded? Heres where this comes in handy. Open the map with the CONVERTED HEADER from last step in HMT. If it won't open then you did the last step wrong. Any tag that you changed, open it in HMT. For example, if you added the secondary trigger to the sniper rifle then open sniper rifle under weapons. Save the meta files NON-RECURSIVELY, AND OVERWRITE THE CORRESPONDING FILES IN YOUR BATCH EXTRACT.
NOW ALL IF LEFT IS REBUILDING, AND YOU'RE DONE! I assume that you all know how to rebuild, you don' t even need to include things in the add box *(unless you have made a completely new tag)*
