teh shadow. your bitmaps/bump may have spots that's invisible for the leaves but the shadow is still the basic shape.

i would say add in more than one light source because it just doesn't look natural the way it is, though the second light shouldn't be as powerful as the main one. Also get a new tree because the Max ones just look terrible. And make sure your little 2-d grass things are touching the ground from their shadows it looks above the ground.

Last image is pretty good. I'd like to see it without the quality loss of a GIF though.

I have two quick questions, my first is there any way I can copy the skin modifier to put another say if I wanna to redo the materials on my MC or add emblem(I deleted the part for the emblem) So if I re-make anyway just copy all my weighted vertices(Basically Skin Modifier)
For my second question, how can I add more armour like Keablr did with this. http://www.freefilehosting.org/public/4 ... no_history.

I'm guessing he is talking about the detail bump. All you have to do is take metal dirty, put it into the additional bump slot, change the tiling to 9 or what ever, and play with values.

Another Question! Well, when I was posing my MC. I went to go click the "Rotate my View" tool and then the the biped reset itself. Now it happens when ever I choose another to use. What is this happening?

It's a problem with the rig. Not sure how to fix it though, best bet would be to re-rig the Spartan.

ok i can't seem to get the phantom to have a shine like the real one. here's what i've got so far. this phantom is suppose to be floating in the water. as it is in the image.

link to a tut or tell me how to fix it plz!!!!! by the way i'm using 3ds max 9.
